Born in Switzerland
At a young age she discovers her passion for horses, with cleaning stalls and riding difficult horses she paid for her lesson, with a German-Rumanian military trainer and was able to compete some of the horses.
With her own horse as a teenager she participated in some fox-hunts, Gymkhanas and western competitions and started her inters in classical dressage.
After finishing her school in Switzerland she stared her Equine studies at Mas de Malibu in France, under Sadko G. Solinski, the well-known French trainer who studied with the late master Nuno Oliveira, She studied equine anatomy and movement, as well as nutrition and health care, working with Baroque breeds, including Andalusian , Lusitanos, Camargue and Barber.
In her 20s she opened her own riding center in the Tuscan hills of Italy and was certified by A.N.T.E. and F.I.S.E.
In the late 1980s, Doina moved to the United States and worked for Rainbow Farm, P.R.E Breeding facility in California.
Later she went to Mexico and trained the junior jumping team of Yucatan. In Merida she met with Iberian breeders and trained and preformed the paso doble at the Plaza del Toro.
Returning to the United States, she met her second teacher, trainer Dominique Barbier, author of Dressage in the New Age and a former student of Nuno Oliveira. Doina spent time at his farm in San Francisco, where she studied the art of work in hand.
In the 1990s she relocated to the East Coast, where she worked with International Judge Gail Carmona, who introduced her to the competitive dressage world in the United States. She also organized clinics for Dominique Barbier.
In 1996 Doina met Luis Ramos Paul y Davide, former head trainer of the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre in Jerez, Spain. Luis became her third trainer and certified her in classical dressage. She worked for Luis as his head trainer, riding and training Andalusian stallions for S.I.C.A.B. in Spain. She also trained Saltador V, the Champion of Spain in 1997.
In Seville Doina founded Earthbeat, a company devoted to exploration of horses and dance. Doina performed with her partner, an internationally known flamenco dancer, at various locations throughout Spain and the United States.
2000 she moved back to the US and competed her stallion Duende XXXIII in Wellington FL. Where she lived in the winter session, during the warmer month she tour the US and Europe giving clinics.
In 2004 Doina started to go to Brasil teaching clinics to some of the biggest Lusitano Breeders. In her journey she saw many beautiful young horses which had incredible dressage movements.
When she moved definitely to Brasil in 2005 she introduces riders and breeders to the FEI young horse program.
Organizing Clinics with International judges like (Yvonne Visser, Cara Witham, Eddy de Wolff, Peter Engel and Stephen Clarke), finding inters from the Brasilien FN she organized Judges Courses. Till the CBH (Brasilien Equestrian Federation) organized recognized competitions and today Brasilien Lusitano Association is member of WBFSH
With the visits of Gert Heuschman in Brasil she develops her knowledge of Biomechanics later she stayed in close contact with him learning and attending his clinics.
Doina also develop her judges’ career and became a Working Equitation Judge
She judged the Brasilian championship and International Lusitano Expo several times.
In 2008 she started to working exclusively for Haras Crystal, Riding and training their promising Sports Lusitano, assessing each horse making their individual training program and helping them to become the best dressage horses there promising to be.
In 2011 she won the small Tour with Unico JB
In 2013 she relocated to Europe where she is teaching Classical Dressage/ Working Equitation and judging in different countries.
Since 2017 Doina is living on the beautiful Costa del Sol where she is inviting riders to spend time with her and learn from her and the school horses as well as enjoying the culture of Spain.
Her regular Clinics in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, England Portugal and the US have helped many riders and horses especially with the subject of CLASSICAL DRESSAGE WITH BIOMECANICS IN MIND.
Through her experience she is able to gymnastic each horse to have him physically and mentally strong.
